weeks 36 and 37 archive looks: from light to dark

i try not to buy the exact same pieces of clothing in different colour ways, but, sometimes, despite best efforts, i do end up with the same pieces of clothing in different colour ways. having the same pieces of clothing in different colour ways helps when i have become really comfortable wearing certain outfits and the thought of having to construct new outfits is just a bit much. i can keep wearing the same outfits but in a different colour way. i do not have to step out of my comfort zone. at the same time, because i am wearing a different colour way, i can feel like i am wearing something different. (not that there is anything wrong with wearing the exact same thing over and over again -- i have done it many a time.)

weeks 34 and 35 new looks: third colour

i purchased a few items from the rundholz dip 126 collection in sky. the ones shown here. (and a pullover. not shown here.) the first purchase was the boiler suit. no explanations needed for that one (i hope) -- a boiler suit being one of my favourite pieces of clothing. then i bought the denim pieces. the cropped jacket i bought to pair with the boiler suit. the trousers and other jacket i bought to complete the denim collection in sky. i suppose i could (should) have resisted doing that since i already have it in amber and linen. but i did not resist. the past two weeks i have been wearing light coloured denim (various degrees of bleached denim) (from my rundholz dip archive), not something i have always been fond of doing. but it felt so natural. i pulled out these new pieces at the tail end of those two weeks. wearing them also felt natural. so i am not sorry that i introduced a third colour into my rundholz dip 126 collection.

weeks 34 and 35 archive looks: sometimes recognizing love takes time

the occasion of the rundholz dip 125 collection was the first time i bought bleached denim pieces. some pieces were bleached to a baby blue shade and some were bleached to a beige shade. it was not love at first sight with these pieces, in particular, the completely bleached out pieces, but there was some sort of enduring connection to them. i pulled some of the most bleached denim pieces out recently and i found wearing them was so comfortable, so right. i guess sometimes it takes time for me to recognize love.

p.s. showing my sneaker head side again. it first appeared last summer. this summer i have homed in on my favourite brands/collections and started focussing my collection of sneakers on those. maybe i should introduce more of my collection here?

i love a cropped jacket. but incorporating it into an outfit is not always easy for me.
