week 12 new looks: the true essence of layering?

i have developed quite the affection and attachment to the jersey top/jacket that i am wearing here.  something very attractive to me about the "tail". i particularly like it as a base layer in a layering situation. more visual interest from the side and back. the layering is actually apparent to those seeing me. as opposed to just me knowing that i am layering. probably the true essence of layering (in a styling sense). other comments: i think i prefer the skirt version of the outfit, over the trousers version of it. and, still making use of that way of half-wearing a pullover top. from my perspective, such a practical body temperature control trick.

i am wearing rundholz dip 222 (jersey top/jacket, pullover, trousers, skirt and sneakers).

week 10 new looks: influences

not sure how i will feel about this way of "half-wearing" a pullover. in the future when i look back on these pics. could be the near future or the distant future. but it reflects new activities in my life and their influences on my way of dressing. so i will leave it at that. except to say that it does seem to be a practical way of cooling down a little when one gets overheated from wearing the pullover "properly".

i am wearing rundholz dip 222 (dress, trousers, overalls, pullover and sneakers).

week 9 new looks: the calm before the storm?

unbelievable that in less than 30 days it will be april. april is usually when i switch over to wearing clothes designated for spring/summer (just as an fyi, i switch over to wearing clothes designated for autumn/winter in october). i know that many people do not do these switches anymore, but i still do. the first month of the switch to a spring/summer wardrobe and the last month before the switch to a fall/winter wardrobe usually turn out to be months in which i wear a lot of denim. i find it to be the perfect transitional fabric. and in the past few years, there have been lots of "innovations" in denim fabric. and lots of use of denim fabric in garments that wouldn't have ordinarily been thought of as appropriate for denim fabric. i don't usually wear a lot of denim. nor, for that matter, have i ever worn a lot of denim. but with all the "innovations", i have come to really appreciate denim. particularly in those transition months.

i am wearing rundholz 123 (button-up jersey top) and rundholz dip 222 (pullover sweater, jacket, trousers and shoes).
