week 12 new looks: base layers issue

this is far (and i mean far) from a criticism of rundholz dip (or, for that matter, rundholz black label and main line). but here it is. the one thing that i always have to go outside of the line for is a plain/simple base layer (a cotton jersey crew neck t-shirt (either long or short sleeve), a cotton jersey turtleneck and a cotton jersey hoodie). yes the line does offer t-shirts. and turtlenecks on occasion. and i do get them. but they aren't usually simple/plain. or if they are, the neckline is not quite what i am looking for. (again, not a criticism. just saying it like it is for me.) fortunately, i always manage to find what i am looking for outside of the line. over the years, i have amassed quite the collection of these base layers that i like in colours that match the colour ways of the rundholz dip collections that i have (also) amassed. at the beginning of this past autumn/winter season, i wore both of these sweatshirt/sweatpants sets without a base layer. later, i wore one of them with a rundholz dip turtleneck. here, i wear both sets with a cotton jersey hoodie that is not rundholz dip. good with all these variations.

week 11 archive looks: flight

it may officially be spring, but i feel like it will be a few weeks yet before it is warm enough even to start thinking about wearing anything from the new rundholz dip collection. every year at the start of march, i check in with myself about whether i am eager to jump into the new collection (or even archive spring/summer pieces) or whether i am content to linger in the existing collection (or archive fall/winter pieces). some years, i am chomping at the bit to move forward. other years, i am perfectly content to stand still. this year, standing still suits me just fine.

i am wearing rundholz dip 224 (woollen pullover), rundholz dip 223 (jacket and overalls) and rundholz dip 121 (hightop sneakers).

week 11 new looks: cropped on top

i originally purchased the jacket to pair with a dress. that didn't work out. so i ended up pairing it with trousers. as i bought the trousers and jacket separately, it was lucky for me that the fabric of the two pieces  matched -- i have a thing about matching fabric. (one reason, but not the only reason, why the jacket and dress pairing didn't work.) happiness in the end. and that is all that matters.

week 9 new looks: greying

right now i am happy that denim features so prominently in the upcoming rundholz dip collection. why? because, these days i want to live in nothing but denim clothes. i don't have much denim from the current rundholz dip collection, but what i do have has been spending a lot of time on my body and very little time in my closet. (and when the denim is in the laundry pile, i have been favouring all two of my suspender pieces. and when those are laundry bound, well, it really is a greying situation.) fingers crossed that when it becomes warm enough to wear the spring/summer denim clothes, i will still be wanting to live in nothing but denim clothes. 'cause as far as shopping for new spring/summer clothes goes, i have been giving in to my desire to live in nothing but denim clothes and, at the moment, my new spring/summer wardrobe is about ninety percent denim clothes. if the desire wanes, i will definitely be ... in trouble. (well, not really. i will just be pulling more the archives.)
