from the wardrobetales rundholz repository (no. 20 06 01 21)

berry lonely in june. and speaking of loneliness ... . being a monochromatic dresser, using bright colours like red and green (as opposed to using black), i am often asked what my religion is, the assumption being that some religion drives my clothing choices (why else would someone wear head to toe red or green). i always answer honestly -- that my way of dressing is not because of a religion. reflecting on my devotion to rundholz over the past few years, i have started to wonder whether i could describe myself as belonging to, definitely not a religion, but some sort of "system of faith/adherence". i tried to see if the sort of relationship that i have with rundholz has been explored. there appears to be only one designer who inspires people in the way that rundholz inspires me -- that is to wear nothing but the designer and to wear the designer head to toe. that designer is rick owens. and his devotees are collectively known as the "tribe". not sure why that label hasn't transcended the situation in which it originated to apply to other similar situations. but it hasn't. perhaps some mass of devotees would be necessary. not sure whether that exists outside of the rick owens situation. not sure how many devotees of rundholz there are. i certainly don't know of any. oh well, nothing new there. perhaps some day a rundholz tribe will emerge. or not. either way, i am good.

i am wearing rundholz black label s/s 2021 (dresses and boots) and rundholz mainline s/s 2018 (hand bracelet).
