Today, after work, I went down to the mall in search of socks. I had no success ... of course. I don't understand why it is that I always seem to be in search of a style of sock at the end of its season. In Spring, I was searching for knee and over the knee socks. Plenty of these in stores now. But back in Spring, knee and over the knee socks were few and far between. Ankle socks and trouser socks were everywhere, in every shade of the rainbow. Now, I want trouser socks ... navy trouser socks. Surprisingly, at least to me, these seem to be nowhere in sight. Sigh! Home I went, without any navy trouser socks.
