week 17 new looks: goth flowers

i wasn't intending to get any matching jacket and bottoms combos this spring/summer. i wanted to start moving away from such formality in my wardrobe going forward. not that i don't (and won't in the foreseeable future) have occasion to wear such (to my mind) formal attire. i just thought i had enough of such attire in my existing wardrobe to see me through the more formal attire occasions in my future. but this skirt and jacket combo really called out to me. i hesitated for a bit. i told myself that it was because i really wanted a strictly grey wardrobe. and this skirt and jacket combo wasn't available in grey. but that was just a poor excuse -- because there were a few pieces that i was coveting that weren't part of a matching jacket and bottoms combo and at the time i didn't think i would be able to get them in grey. so eventually i listened to the very loud call of this skirt and jacket combo. no regrets (or feelings of guilt).

i am wearing rundholz dip 124 (jacket, top and skirt) and rundholz dip 123 (high tops).

week 16 archive looks: there was a plan

there was a plan for my wardrobe this season. then i started acquiring pieces from the rundholz dip spring/summer 2024 collection. (so what else is new, right? i have already said this, but it is worth repeating.) as a result, "the plan" for the wardrobe had to be modified. not scrapped, though. modified. all that means is that i will be wearing more new pieces than archive pieces this spring/summer. (the plan was to rely on archive pieces with only a few outfits made of new pieces.) on another note, it was that kind of week: not sure how many layers might be called for and whether a winter jacket might also have to put in an appearance. spring is trying.

i am wearing rundholz dip 223 (puffer jacket), rundholz dip 123 (hightops) and rundholz dip 119 (top, skirt and long-ish jacket).

week 16 new looks: grey skies may clear up but ...

some of the new additions to my ever burgeoning rundholz dip collection. i wasn't intending to add to my collection to the extent that i ended up adding to it. so what else is new, right? i am loving some of the new fabrics used this season -- like the silk/cotton blend of some pieces. i am also loving some of the new (at least to me) designs (some of the dresses in particular). and, if you know anything about me, you will know how much i love suspenders/braces, so i was thrilled to see them incorporated into the dip line. so, to sum up, looking forward to wearing my new acquisitions in the coming months.
