from the wardrobetales rundholz repository (no. 20 03 07 17)

at some point in my past, this piece of wisdom was imparted to me: the "phenomenon" of having lots of clothes in one's closet but never having a thing to wear is symptomatic of one having few if any clothes for the situations that one most has to dress for and clothes in over abundance for the situations that one has to dress for only on occasion. the way to "cure" never having a thing to wear is consciously to align one's wardrobe to one's actual present life (as opposed to having a wardrobe from one's past life or from the life one might want to lead). i think about this every now and again. mostly because, where dressing is concerned, i am someone who likes to go against the grain. i know how, in the circles in which i travel professionally, i should be dressing. but i have always chosen to march to the beat of my own drum. so conventional wisdom doesn't always help me. still, even allowing for the necessary modifications brought about by my rebellious nature, might there not be something for me in the conventional wisdom?

i am wearing rundholz black label a/w 2014 (skirt), rundholz black label a/w 2015 (hoodie and jacket) and rundholz s/s 2016 (shoes).
