from the wardrobetales rundholz repository (no. 20 05 29 16)

i have been browsing through the rundholz black label lookbooks from s/s 2014, 2015 and 2016. in each one, there is some version of the dress that i am wearing here (which is from s/s 2015). sadly ... for me ... i can't get my hands on lookbooks from before a/w 2013/2014. so i am wondering ... is this a dress that has more versions than just the ones of which i am aware.  and, in case you are wondering ... i only have the s/s 2015 version of this dress. i consciously passed on the s/s 2016 version of the dress ... reasoning that, with the s/s 2015 version in my closet and too much else that was interesting on offer in the s/s 2016 collection, it made good economic sense to do so. i only embarked in earnest on my rundholz journey in s/s 2014. i don't remember whether the opportunity to own the s/s 2014 version of the dress was there for me. in any case, i don't have the s/s 2014 dress. but are there more of these from before s/s 2014? if there are, i would so be interested in seeing them ... just for curiosity's sake.

i am wearing rundholz black label s/s 2016 (boots) and rundholz black label s/s 2015 (dress).

Rundholz seems to be recycling its own ideas all the time. Usually the really new things happen in the mainline collection. If the idea seems to work they use it again in Black Label (usually with cheaper fabrics) - but not immediately. For example last year's (SS 15) fabulous Black Label jackets with ruffles and other flowery decorations were originally in the SS 11 Mainline collection. I know because I have that collection in printed form (a very small, A6 size booklet). I have a similar booklet of the Mainline SS 13 collection. I don't see your dress's "original" version on either of them (but I only have those two booklets!). I wouldn't be surprised if it came from the SS 10 Mainline collection or something like that. On the other hand it's so "basic Rundholz" that the model can also be a lot older :)
